Venetian Village
Taking place throughout the next few months,Venetian Days at Venetian Village is a celebration of Venetian art and enterprise. Last Saturday, June 20th, visitors were treated to specials from participating stores and restaurants,free facials,a trunk show,and live entertainment with the highlight being a performance by KidzAct, the youth theater program of The Naples Players. Collier County Domestic Animal Services also brought adoptable dogs to encourage adoption.
The KidzAct performance featured a series of scenes from the fairy tales ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’, ‘Jack and Jill’ and Jack Sprat’ and involved audience participation. This performance is the first in a series of one a month for the next five months.
“The Youth Theatre program of The Naples Players provides children from age 4 to 8 with opportunities to explore acting. The KinderAct program is for children who have completed pre-kindergarten or kindergarten. First Act is for kids who have completed first or second grade and Third Act is for kids who have completed third thru sixth grades. Acting camps and workshops along with shows take place over the course of eight weeks during the summer months. The faculty is comprised of members of the Naples Players.”
