Walking Tour of Naples Historic District

Walking Tour of Naples Historic District

Now – November 18, 2020 | Weekly on Wednesday | 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

137 – 12th Ave. S., Naples, FL 34102

Let us lead you on a one-mile walking tour through the Naples Historic District, a Landmark listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

You will be able to imagine it as it was at the end of the nineteenth century. Walk along historic Third Street South and learn where the original movie theater, general store and gas station once operated. Visit the location where the Naples Hotel once stood and hosted such guests as Rose Cleveland. Stroll through Old Naples where notables such as the Briggs, the DuPonts and the city’s founders, the Haldemans, once lived.

Originally known as a “sportsman’s paradise,” attracting fisherman and hunters alike, it was Naples’ pull as a resort town that captivated many famous and important visitors and brought about the nickname, “summerland in wintertime.”

As a matter of policy, we prefer to have two guests on Naples Historical Society’s Walking Tour. If we have not met the minimum we will reach out to you on Monday the week of the Walking Tour. Thank you for your understanding!
